Through everyday play-based observation, and with your consent, age-appropriate screening with our partner professionals, we learn your child's strengths and how they learn best.
We design an individual learning plan for each child and update it as they grow.
Enrichment across literacy, numeracy, coding, robotics, languages, movement, sport, and wellbeing through our partners.
Every child has a personalized learning plan from the start, and our educators update it all year. Once a year we bring it together into a clear, strengths-based growth review we share with you, so you can see how your child has grown and what comes next.
What is flourishing, what your child loves, and where they shine.
The areas we are gently working on next, framed as growth rather than deficit.
Interests to nurture, new challenges to try, and where your child is ready for more.
What we and your family will do together, and any supports that would help.
North Burnaby has many elementary schools close to Gilmore Place. Our planned before and after-school care is designed to coordinate with nearby schools, including optional pickup and drop-off, and to support smooth transitions into kindergarten and beyond.
We believe a premium centre should also open its doors to families who could never otherwise afford one. Through Roots for All, we commit to fully funding ten children each year.
A funded place covers your family's cost of a child's spot for the program year. Where government support applies, it applies first and our scholarship covers the rest.
Families facing financial hardship and children who would benefit most, including newcomer families, single-parent families, and families supporting a child with additional needs.
Families apply through a simple, private application. A Roots for All child is simply a Royal Roots child, and we never single out or publicly identify a funded family.
We work with trusted local partners to give your child a rich, well-rounded experience and to make life easier for families.
Active play, movement, and sport.
Martial arts and kickboxing.
Optional, consent-based screening and wellbeing support.
Enrichment and academic support.
