Parent programs planned in North Burnaby
Royal Roots Early Learning is planned for Gilmore Place, Level 3, in North Burnaby, Burnaby, BC. It is for children up to age 12. Opening is planned for 2027. The centre is not open. Licensing status will be published before opening. Parent programs are planned from pregnancy through the early years: a prenatal circle, a newborn class, a postpartum group, gentle movement with a baby, weekly open play, and a place for caregivers to sit together. They are not running yet. They are not jobs.
What is planned for parents and caregivers
The site describes Royal Roots as a place for the adult as well as the child. The planned sessions are a prenatal circle, a newborn class, a postpartum group, gentle fitness with a baby, weekly open play, and time in the café for conversation. Partners and caregivers are included in that welcome, not only mothers.
These sessions sit beside the child's care. They are how parent education shows up in the approach: adults get context for the personalized learning plan, and a group of people at the same stage. A calendar, a facilitator list, and a price have not been published.
What parents can do before opening
The step that exists today is the waitlist. It is free, it takes about two minutes, and it does not commit the family. Registered families are first to be offered a space after the centre is licensed and open. The form is kept in English so records stay consistent. The rest of the site can be read in the languages the language menu already offers.
Parents who want the child's side of the plan should read the program pages for infant and toddler care, preschool, and before and after-school care. Parents who want the philosophy should read the approach page. People who want to work at the centre should use the careers page. Careers are not listed here, because a job is not a parent program.
What is deliberately unpublished
Royal Roots has not published a street number, a phone number, opening hours, a fee schedule, or staff-to-child ratios. Those details will be published before opening.
Licensing status will be published before opening. Parent sessions that depend on the centre being open will start only after that status is published and the centre opens. A session is not available to book today.
